Lesson 119: The conjunction -ki
In this lesson we will see the ki that works as a conjunction. The conjunction ki can have many meanings, including that, which, (even) though, so (that), it is because … that …, etc. We won't cover all of these extensively here, but we will focus on some common usages.
Since ki is a conjunction, it is not treated as a suffix, and it is written separate from other words.

|Study for your exams so you can pass your courses.||Sınavlarına çalış ki derslerini geçebilirsin.|
|Your brother will die so that you will be able to live.||Kardeşin ölecek ki sen yaşayabileceksin.|
|to behave, to act; to act towards, to treatSOMEONE IN A CERTAIN WAY||davranmak|
|It is because he loves you that he acts towards you like this.||Seni seviyor ki sana böyle davranıyor.|
|to get angry, to get mad||kızmak|
|Return home in the evening not to let your dad get angry.||Akşam eve dön ki baban kızmasın.|
|You were so angry that you could not speak logically.||Öyle sinirliydiniz ki mantıklıca konuşamadınız.|
