Possibility (อาจจะ)

Expressing "Might" with อาจจะ

To express that something is possible or probable, place อาจจะ directly before the main verb.

Guessing from Symptoms

When discussing medical conditions, it is common to state the symptom first, then follow it with an อาจจะ clause to guess the illness.

To be more formal, you can use the word for "symptom" (อาการ) before describing the specific issue, like a cough (ไอ) or a sore throat (เจ็บคอ).

Allergies and Severity

You can use this same pattern to guess if someone is allergic (แพ้) to something, or if a disease (โรค) is severe (ร้ายแรง).

To say that something "might not" be the case, place the negative word ไม่ immediately after อาจจะ.
