A handful of nouns carry most Thai economic reporting:

Trade and Causes
ค้า is the formal to trade — you know its everyday pair ซื้อ/ขาย, and the compound ค้าขาย to do commerce keeps both halves visible. เหตุ is the bare cause / incident that headlines are built from (you know สาเหตุ and เหตุผล — both grew out of it), and สาร is the substance of science and health reporting.

ฐานะ
ฐานะ names standing in two senses: financial (ฐานะดี well-off) and positional — ในฐานะ... in the capacity of... opens many formal sentences.
