Inclusive connectors (รวมถึง)

Inclusive Connectors: รวมถึง

When you need to specify items that are part of a larger group—such as the exact details covered under an insurance policy (กรมธรรม์)—Thai uses the inclusive connector รวมถึง (including).

Just like in English, รวมถึง is placed immediately before the specific noun or noun phrase you are highlighting to show that it belongs to the previously mentioned category.

When reading travel insurance terms, you will frequently see รวมถึง paired with verbs like คุ้มครอง (to protect) or ชดเชย (to compensate). It helps clarify exactly which property (ทรัพย์สิน) or specific cases (กรณี) are eligible for a claim.

Because it can precede entire noun phrases, you can also use รวมถึง to link multiple distinct situations or activities together at the end of a sentence. This is especially useful for bridging the gap between covered events like delayed flights, lost (สูญหาย) belongings, or high-risk sports.
