Expectations (น่าจะ)

Expressing Expectations with น่าจะ

To say that something is likely to happen, or that it "ought to" or "probably will" happen based on logical deduction, use น่าจะ. Just like other modal verbs, place it directly before the main verb.

Expectations on Returns

น่าจะ is often used when making financial predictions. You can use it to express expectations about earning interest (ดอกเบี้ย) or making a profit (กำไร) from stocks (หุ้น).

Combining with Other Modals

When discussing income (รายได้) and taxes (ภาษี), you can use น่าจะ on its own, or stack it in front of other modal verbs like ต้อง (must) to form น่าจะต้อง (likely have to / probably must).
