หรือไม่ก็ is perfect for establishing a clear "plan B" if your initial idea doesn't work out. For instance, if you aren't sure a physical gift will be ถูกใจ (pleasing / suit their taste), giving a บัตรกำนัล (gift voucher) makes a great alternative for the ผู้รับ (recipient).
