Abstract Nouns and Prepositions
In English, we often rely on "of" to connect abstract nouns to what they describe (e.g., the cause of). In Swedish, abstract nouns pair with highly specific prepositions. Learning these combinations as fixed phrases is the best approach.
Nouns requiring "till"
Swedish frequently uses till (to) for causes, explanations, and trust, even where English might use "of", "for", or "in".

When expressing opinions, reactions, or feelings directed at someone or something, Swedish uses prepositions that imply direction or cause.
