Formal 'Here'-Words
Just as där--words replace a preposition plus "that" (däri = in that), här--words replace a preposition plus "this" (i detta, med detta, etc.). In legal contracts, certificates, and official declarations, these words are used for self-reference—meaning the document or speaker is referring to the very text you are reading or the action currently taking place.
"Härmed" (Hereby / With this)
Härmed replaces med detta (with this). It is the standard translation for "hereby" and is used to declare that an action is taking effect at this exact moment. You will frequently see it when certifying (intyga) something or declaring a contract binding (bindande) through a signature (en underskrift).
| We hereby certify that the document is valid. | Vi intygar härmed att dokumentet är giltigt. |
| The contract hereby becomes binding through the signature. | Avtalet blir härmed bindande genom underskriften. |
"Härigenom" (Through this)
Very similar in meaning to härmed, härigenom also translates to "hereby" but literally means "through this" (genom detta). It emphasizes the document or action as the means by which something happens, such as issuing (utfärda) rules or committing oneself (förbinda sig) to an obligation.

| The company hereby commits itself to pay the rent. | Företaget förbinder sig härigenom att betala hyran. |
"Härav" (Hereof / From this)
Härav replaces av detta (of this / from this / hereof). In legal texts, it is often paired with the verb följa (to follow) to state consequences, logical conclusions, or things that must cease (upphöra) based on a contract you just referred to (hänvisade till).
| We refer to the contract, and from this follows the conclusion. | Vi hänvisar till avtalet, och härav följer slutsatsen. |
| From this it follows that the cooperation must cease. | Härav följer att samarbetet måste upphöra. |
