You have met ge sig av and dra sig undan. The pattern goes further: a reflexive verb can take a particle, a preposition, or both, and the whole string is one word to learn.

Three That Take med sig

Bära med sig, plocka med sig and dela med sig av all contain med sig — with oneself. Bära is the neutral one; plocka med sig suggests gathering something up before you leave; dela med sig av is to share out, and it needs the extra av before what is shared.

Dra sig för is what you do when you would rather not — att dra sig för att ringa is to keep putting off the call. Känna på sig is to have a feeling about something before you know it: jag kände på mig att något var fel.
