To explain why you are doing something, use a purpose clause with чтобы ("in order to" or simply "to").

When the subject is the same in both parts of the sentence, чтобы is followed directly by an infinitive verb. Always place a comma before чтобы.

| He is leaving for the capital in order to get a good education. | |
| Anna wants to build a career in order to receive a large salary. | |
Earning for a Goal
To specify what you are earning or saving money for, use the preposition на (for) followed by the item in the accusative case.
| My sister works a lot in order to earn money for a vacation. | |
| Do you want to find a new job in order to earn money for a car? | |
You can also use чтобы to explain reasons for gaining practical experience (опыт).
