Открытка is built from открыть, to open — an "open" letter, one with no envelope. Марка also means a brand, and you will meet that sense later.

Виза and паспорт go together, and both take в for the thing they sit inside:
Виза *в паспорте.* — The visa is in the passport.

Чемодан is a suitcase. Сувенир is a souvenir — borrowed from French, like a good deal of Russian travel vocabulary.
