Carrying on Foot: Multidirectional (носить)
Just as Russian has pairs of verbs for walking (идти/ходить), it also has pairs for carrying objects on foot. The verb носить is used when carrying something generally, repeatedly, or in multiple directions (like wandering through the woods with a basket).

Use this multidirectional verb when the action happens often (часто) or without a single, direct destination.

| Carrying baskets along this path is very hard. | Носить корзины по этой тропинке очень тяжело. |
Carrying on Foot: Unidirectional (нести)
When you are carrying an object on foot in one specific direction, or if the action is in progress right now, use the unidirectional verb нести.

You will use this when heading straight to a destination, like bringing a harvest directly to a glade, or pointing out an action happening right at this moment (сейчас).
