Micul dejun is literally the small lunch. It keeps its article even after la, because micul is an adjective in front of the noun.

I have breakfast at seven o'clock.
Iau micul dejun la ora șapte.
We eat salad for lunch.
Mâncăm salată la prânz.
For dinner we eat chicken with potatoes.
La cină mâncăm pui cu cartofi.

I'm hungry, I'm thirsty

Like îmi place, hunger and thirst are said with the to me pronoun: to me it is hunger. In speech, îmi e shortens to mi-e and îți e to ți-e.

I'm hungry.
Mi-e foame.
Are you thirsty? Do you want water?
Ți-e sete? Vrei apă?

In the kitchen

The mother is cooking in the kitchen.
Mama gătește în bucătărie.
The milk is in the fridge.
Laptele este în frigider.
I cook on the stove.
Gătesc pe aragaz.

And before you eat, wish everyone poftă bună — enjoy your meal.

The food is on the table. Enjoy your meal!
