Expressing Purpose with "Para que"
Use the conjunction para que (so that) to express the purpose of an action.
Because the outcome is a desired goal rather than an established fact, para que always triggers the subjunctive mood. Notice how ter (to have) becomes tenha, and arrecadar (to raise) becomes arrecade in the present subjunctive:

Two Different Subjects
We typically use para que when the person taking the main action is different from the person or thing affected by the outcome. For example, I give clothes so that the homeless person isn't cold. Watch how distribuir (to distribute) becomes distribua:

Sentence Structure
The structure is always consistent: [Main Action in Indicative] + para que + [Desired Outcome in Subjunctive]
