### The passive meets your new tenses

You know the simple passive (*ser + particípio*). It combines freely with the progressive and with the pretérito perfeito composto:

The participle still agrees: *a estrada está a ser arranjada*, *os bilhetes têm sido vendidos*. Only *ser* changes shape.
