Presenting the Data
When discussing statistics and presentations, you will often encounter terms like slajd (slide) and wykres kołowy (pie chart).

Forming Fractions
In Polish, fractions are built much like they are in English: using a regular counting number (cardinal) for the top and a ranking number (ordinal) for the bottom.
Because a fraction implicitly refers to a "part"—the feminine noun część—both numbers must take their feminine forms. When the top number is 1, use jedna followed by the singular feminine ordinal number.
- 1/3 = jedna trzecia
- 1/4 = jedna czwarta

| Merely one quarter of the respondents have free time. | Zaledwie jedna czwarta ankietowanych ma czas wolny. |
Plural Fractions
When the top number is 2, 3, or 4, use the plural feminine forms for both parts of the fraction.
The numerators are dwie (two), trzy (three), and cztery (four). The denominators take the plural ending -e, which is the standard plural form for non-masculine-personal subjects.
- 3/4 = trzy czwarte
- 4/5 = cztery piąte
- 2/5 = dwie piąte
