Stating the Result with "dlatego"

Use dlatego ("therefore" or "that is why") to introduce the result of a situation. Always place a comma immediately before it.

Explaining the Cause with "dlatego że"

To explain the cause instead, use dlatego że ("because," literally "for the reason that"). Adding że shifts the focus from an effect to its cause. The comma still goes before dlatego.
