Usages of gakusei

わたし は ほん の がくせい です。watashi wa nihongo no gakusei desu.
I am a Japanese (language) student.
あなた は ほんじん の がくせい です。anata wa nihonjin no gakusei desu.
You are a Japanese studenthaving the Japanese nationality.
この ほん は がくせいけ です。kono hon wa gakuseimuke desu.
This book is for students.
りゅうがくせいryuugakusei
international student; foreign exchange student
かれ が がくせい じゃ なければ、 はいれません。kare ga gakusei ja nakereba, hairemasen.
If he’s not a student, he can’t enter.
