Usages of ano
あの 人 は どなた です か。ano hito wa donata desu ka.
Who is that person (over there)?
あの 人 も 日本人 です。ano hito mo nihonjin desu.
That person is Japanese too.
あの テレビ は いくら でした か。ano terebi wa ikura deshita ka.
How much was that TV?
ジョン さん は あの レストラン が 嫌い でした。jon san wa ano resutoran ga kirai deshita.
John disliked that restaurant.
あの 新しい 映画 が 好き でした か。ano atarashii eiga ga suki deshita ka.
Did you like that new movie?
あの 小さい 車 は 私 の じゃ ない です。ano chiisai kuruma wa watashi no ja nai desu.
