方 is a suffix that can be attached to a the stem of a verb to turn it into a noun that means the way to do X or how to X.
For example, 食べ方 means way of eating or how to eat, and 作り方 means way of making or how to make.
So to use 方, just add it to the verb stem, which the part before ます in the polite form.
|Do you know how to eat ramen?||ラーメン の 食べ方 は 知て いる か。raamen no tabekata wa shite iru ka.|
|The way you make this cake is really easy.||この ケーキ の 作り方 は とても やさしい です。kono keeki no tsukurikata wa totemo yasashii desu.|
Note that where other particles would usually be used with a noun, の is used when making a sentence with 方.
