"A" and "an": un and una
Last lesson every noun arrived with il, la or l'. To say a boy rather than the boy:
- masculine → un: un ragazzo
- feminine → una: una ragazza
| I am a boy. | Sono un ragazzo. |
| You are a girl. | Sei una ragazza. |
| It is a cat. | È un gatto. |
Adjectives agree
nuovo, piccolo and bello take -o with a masculine noun and -a with a feminine one. grande ends in -e and does not change.
| The book is new. | Il libro è nuovo. |
| The car is new. | La macchina è nuova. |
| It is a big car. | È una macchina grande. |
