These five points are the only grammar the CILS B1 Cittadinanza sillabo names that the main Italian course teaches up in B1, past the point this course assumes. They are collected here so you never have to go into B1 to pick up five scattered lessons.
- ognuno / ciascuno are singular and take a singular verb: Ognuno porta un documento.
- nessun / nessuna shorten before a noun: nessun problema, nessuna difficoltà.
- il quale is the formal relative. Che is always available; il quale appears in administrative prose and after a preposition: l'ufficio al quale mi sono rivolto.
- meglio / peggio are adverbs (they modify a verb); migliore / peggiore are adjectives.
- The past modals separate what you did from what you were supposed to: ho dovuto tornare (and I went back) against dovevo tornare (I was meant to, and did not).
