What is the function of the -ся ending in одягнувся?
The -ся suffix marks the verb as reflexive, meaning the subject performs the action on themselves (“to get dressed”). Without -ся, одягнути would mean “to dress someone else.”
What tense, aspect, person, and gender does одягнувся represent?
одягнувся is past tense, perfective aspect (meaning the action is completed), second person singular, masculine. You know it’s perfective because it describes a finished action (“Have you already gotten dressed?”).
How would this question change if I were talking to a woman or a group?
For a woman you’d say Ти вже одягнулася? (ending -лася), and for a group (or polite plural) you’d use Ти вже одягнулися? or drop ти and simply say Ви вже одягнулися?.
