Questions & Answers about Nemam nikakav plan.
Nemam means I do not have.
It is the 1st person singular present form of imati (to have) with negation:
- imam = I have
- nemam = I do not have
In Serbian, this negative form is written as one word, not ne imam.
Because nemam comes from imati (to have), while nisam comes from biti (to be).
Compare:
- Imam plan. = I have a plan.
- Nemam plan. = I don't have a plan.
- Ja sam umoran. = I am tired.
- Ja nisam umoran. = I am not tired.
So in Nemam nikakav plan, the verb is imati, so the negative form must be nemam.
Nikakav means something like:
- no kind of
- not any kind of
- no ... whatsoever
So Nemam nikakav plan is stronger than just Nemam plan. It suggests:
- I have absolutely no plan
- I don't have any plan at all
- I have no real plan whatsoever
It adds emphasis.
