Selepas makan, kami bungkus tomato, timun, dan lobak yang masih ada untuk dibawa esok.

In Malay, kami means we, but it is exclusive: it does not include the person being spoken to.

So kami bungkus... means we packed/wrapped..., but you are not part of that we.

If the speaker wanted to include the listener, they would use kita instead.

• kami = we, not you
• kita = we, including you

This is a very common point that English speakers notice, because English only has one word: we.

Malay often leaves out subjects when they are obvious from context.

So Selepas makan literally means after eating or after the meal, and the subject does not need to be repeated if it is already understood.

In fuller form, you could say:

Selepas kami makan... = After we ate...

But in natural Malay, leaving out kami here is very normal.
