Questions & Answers about najunge yeonrak juseyo.
What politeness level is 나중에 연락 주세요?
It’s the standard polite request style (-세요). It’s friendly, respectful, and fine for most everyday situations with adults you’re not intimate with. It’s less formal than business-deferential forms like 연락 주십시오 or 연락 부탁드립니다, and more polite than casual 연락해 줘.
Why is it 연락 주세요 instead of 연락해 주세요? Are both correct?
Who is supposed to contact whom? There’s no subject or object shown.
Korean often omits what’s obvious from context. Here:
- The implied subject is “you.”
- The implied recipient is “me (the speaker).” If you want to be explicit, say 저한테 나중에 연락 주세요 (“Please contact me later”).
Can/should I add object or dative markers, like 연락을 주세요 or 저한테?
