Hindi very often borrows everyday modern words from English, especially for appliances and technology. ड्रायर is simply dryer written in Devanagari.

This is completely normal in modern Hindi. Depending on context, people may also say a longer phrase like हेयर ड्रायर for hair dryer, but ड्रायर by itself is very common.

What does उधर mean exactly?

उधर means over there, on that side, or that way.

It often gives a slightly directional sense, not just a plain there. So it can feel a bit like pointing to a place away from the speaker.

A rough comparison:

इधर = over here / this side
उधर = over there / that side

How is उधर different from वहाँ?

Both can often be translated as there, but they are not exactly the same.

वहाँ = there, at that place
उधर = over there, on that side, in that direction

So ड्रायर वहाँ है and ड्रायर उधर है can both work, but उधर feels a bit more like someone is indicating a direction or side.
