今天 我 有 事情， 不 去 看 电影。jīntiān wǒ yǒu shìqíng, bù qù kàn diànyǐng.
I have things to do today; I’m not going to watch a movie.
她 今天 有 事情， 也 想 让 你 帮忙。tā jīntiān yǒu shìqíng, yě xiǎng ràng nǐ bāngmáng.
She has things to do today and also wants to ask you for help.
中午 我 有 事情， 以后 我 再 打 电话 给 你。zhōngwǔ wǒ yǒu shìqíng, yǐhòu wǒ zài dǎ diànhuà gěi nǐ.
I have things to do at noon; I’ll call you again later.
她 觉得 这 个 事情 最 重要。tā juéde zhè gè shìqíng zuì zhòngyào.
