我 先 开 灯， 再 看 书。wǒ xiān kāi dēng, zài kàn shū.
I will turn on the light first, then read.
她 把 灯 开 了， 我 就 看 书。tā bǎ dēng kāi le, wǒ jiù kàn shū.
She turned on the light, and then I read.
我 一 回家 就 开 电视 看 电影。Wǒ yì huíjiā jiù kāi diànshì kàn diànyǐng.
As soon as I get home, I turn on the TV and watch a movie.
她 说 自己 睡觉 的 时候 喜欢 开着 空调， 不 是 因为 外面 很 热， 而是 因为 这样 比较 安心。tā shuō zìjǐ shuìjiào de shíhou xǐhuan kāizhe kōngtiáo, bù shì yīnwèi wàimiàn hěn rè, érshì yīnwèi zhèyàng bǐjiào ānxīn.
