In the German language there are four cases: nominative, genitive, dative and accusative.
 In this lesson we'll go deeper into the accusative case.



 The accusative case is used for the direct object in a sentence.
 The direct object is "acted upon" by the subject of the sentence.
 For example in the sentence Thomas eats a banana,
 the subject is Thomas and the direct object is a banana.



 Luckily, the form of the accusative case is much simpler than the genetive case.
 As you can see in the table below, only the masculine form differs from the nominative case.
