### The Structure with "En"

The pronoun **en** literally translates to "of it" or "of them." To say "I admire its shape" in French, you phrase it as "I of it admire the shape."

To build this structure, place **en** right before the verb, and use a definite article (**le**, **la**, **l'**, or **les**) before the noun being possessed.

### Replacing "Its" and "Their"

Whether the object you are referring back to is masculine, feminine, singular, or plural, **en** never changes its form. It can mean "its" or "their" depending on context.
