French for TEF Canada & TCF Canada

This course teaches the French of the two exams Canada accepts for francophone immigration — TEF Canada and TCF Canada — and of the life you are moving toward. Eleven vocabulary lessons cover the registers a general French course rarely reaches: immigration paperwork, job hunting, housing, health care and everyday services, plus the news language and debate vocabulary the written and spoken tasks draw on. Ten task-kit lessons then drill the set formulas of every production task on both exams — continuing a fait divers, the letter to the newspaper, the formal phone call in vous, persuading a friend in tu, and the TCF's messages, narrations, syntheses and monologues.

The course assumes roughly B1 French: work through the main French course first (or alongside this one), then use this course to aim your French at the exam. To be straight about scope: nobody here grades your writing or simulates the examiner — this course makes sure the words and the formulas are there when you practise those tasks elsewhere. Reviews first on any day you study, then new material.
