Questions & Answers about Suoritettuasi sivutehtävän saat paljon kokemuspisteitä.
How exactly is suoritettuasi built from the verb suorittaa?
This is the past temporal construction. You take the passive past participle suoritettu (completed), add the partitive ending -a, and attach the possessive suffix -si (your). Even though it uses a passive form, the possessive suffix makes the action active: 'after you have completed'.
Since suoritettuasi implies a past action ('after having completed'), why does the sentence feel like it is talking about the future?
The 'past' in the past temporal construction only means the action happens before the action in the main clause. The main clause uses the present tense saat (you get) to refer to a future reward. So the sequence is: first you will complete the quest, and then you will get the points.
Why is the object sivutehtävän in the genitive case instead of the partitive?
Standard object rules apply inside this temporal construction. Completing a side quest is a bounded, finished action, so the singular object takes the total object form (the genitive-looking accusative -n).
Why is kokemuspisteitä in the partitive plural?
It is governed by the quantifier paljon (a lot). Words expressing an indefinite amount require the following noun to be in the partitive case. Because experience points are countable, the plural partitive is used here.
