### Making Someone Do Something

When you want to express getting, making, or causing someone to do an action, Finnish uses a specific grammatical formula built around the verb *saada* (to get/cause).

To build this structure:
1. Conjugate **saada** for the subject (the one causing the action).
2. Put the object being influenced into the accusative case. Singular nouns usually end in **-n**, and plural nouns end in **-t** (like *ihmiset*). Personal pronouns use their special accusative forms (*minut*, *hänet*, *meidät*).
3. Put the action verb into its 3rd infinitive illative form, which always ends in **-maan** or **-mään**.

### Manipulation and Persuasion

This causative structure is perfect for describing mind tricks, persuasion, and manipulation. Notice how the pronoun objects sit right between the conjugated *saada* and the *-maan/-mään* action verb.

You can also stack this structure with other verbs, such as *haluta* (to want). In this case, *haluta* is conjugated, *saada* stays in its basic infinitive form, and the rest of the formula remains exactly the same.

### Abstract Causes

The subject doing the "causing" does not have to be a person like a magician or a doctor. An abstract concept—like a psychological trick, mind control, or a simple suggestion—can just as easily act as the subject of *saada*.
