Why does the sentence use az man ("from me") instead of just saying "me"?
In Farsi, the verb for "to ask" requires the preposition az (from). So instead of saying "ask me" like in English, you literally say "ask from me".
How is the command bepors (ask!) built?
To make a singular command in Farsi, you add the command prefix be- to the present stem of a verb. The present stem of "to ask" is -pors-, so adding be- gives us bepors.
Do I need to include the word for "you" (to) before the verb?
No, it is not required. Just like in English where we say "Ask me!" instead of "You ask me!", the command form bepors already implies that you are speaking directly to one person.
