In contrast (dar mouqâbel / bar'aks)

When discussing the differences between traditional hand-drawn animation (انیمیشن) and 3D computer rendering, you will need ways to highlight those differences. Farsi uses contrastive discourse connectors to show how two ideas, processes, or opinions diverge.

In contrast (در مقابل)

To compare two distinct situations or to highlight a difference between two subjects, use در مقابل (in contrast). It translates literally to "in opposition [to]" or "facing," and is typically placed at the beginning of the contrasting sentence.

On the contrary (برعکس)

When you want to express that the exact opposite is true, or to contrast expectations with reality, use برعکس (on the contrary / conversely). Like در مقابل, it usually starts the second clause or sentence to introduce the opposing thought.
