When looking at a job posting, you will need to understand the position (stanowisko) and its requirements (wymaganie). Employers expect candidates to outline their education (wykształcenie) and skills (umiejętność) in their CV (życiorys).

Expressing "Both A and B"
To emphasize that two conditions, skills, or traits are equally present or required, use the paired conjunction zarówno ... jak i ... (both ... and ...).
Place zarówno before the first item, and jak i before the second. Polish punctuation requires a comma right before jak i.
| Both education and experience are very important. | Zarówno wykształcenie, jak i doświadczenie są bardzo ważne. |
| For this position, we need both knowledge and new skills. | Na to stanowisko potrzebujemy zarówno wiedzy, jak i nowych umiejętności. |
Linking Adjectives
You can use this same structure to link adjectives when describing a candidate or their application materials.
| Your CV is both short and very creative. | Twój życiorys jest zarówno krótki, jak i bardzo kreatywny. |
| We expect that this candidate will be both communicative and nice. | Oczekujemy, że ten kandydat będzie zarówno komunikatywny, jak i miły. |
Subject-Verb Agreement
When you use zarówno ... jak i ... to connect two singular subjects, the verb usually takes the plural form.
