Renting a place to live (l'inquilino, la caparra)

The writing task in the exam is an everyday problem-solving email, and Siena's own published prompt is a letter to your landlord: the neighbours are a problem, you have decided to move, explain why and ask whether you still owe the coming months' rent. This lesson is that vocabulary.

Note il padrone di casa for the landlord in speech; a contract says il locatore. La caparra is the deposit you hand over, not a fine.
