المعذرة، أين المحطة؟

Here المعذرة is a polite way to say Excuse me or Pardon me before asking a question.

Literally, it is a noun meaning excuse or apology, but in this sentence it functions like a polite attention-getter.

Because Arabic does not use the definite article in exactly the same way English does.
