Adjectives in the Dative Case
When an adjective follows an indefinite article (ein), a possessive article (mein, dein), or a negative article (kein) in the dative case, it always ends in -en.
Because the article changes to show the case (einem for masculine/neuter, einer for feminine), the adjective takes this universal ending. This pattern is very common after dative prepositions like mit (with) or bei (at/with).
