This page annotates an original, fictional legal-administrative notice about moving a market temporarily. Ƙaramar Hukumar Filin Rimi, the market, dates in 2099, offices, procedures, and rights below do not exist. The text is not legal advice and must not be used as a live notice. Its purpose is linguistic: show how Hausa can state scope, deadlines, required contents, consequences, and a review route without hiding them inside translated bureaucratic abstractions.
The register is (formal/legal-administrative). For style principles, see Legal and Bureaucratic Nominal Style.
Complete original notice
SANARWA TA MISALI KAN MAYAR DA KASUWA NA ƊAN LOKACI — Ƙaramar Hukumar Filin Rimi, wadda aka ƙirƙira don wannan misali, tana sanar da masu rumfunan Kasuwar Laraba cewa za a mayar da kasuwar zuwa Filin Arewa daga 1 ga Afrilu zuwa 30 ga Yuni, 2099, domin a gyara magudanan ruwa. EXAMPLE NOTICE ON A TEMPORARY MARKET MOVE — Filin Rimi Local Authority, which was invented for this example, informs Wednesday Market stallholders that the market will move to North Field from 1 April to 30 June 2099 while drains are repaired. Any stallholder with a valid registration card may request a temporary place. The stallholder must deliver a copy of the card to the market office before 4:00 p.m. on 14 March 2099.
Anyone objecting to the assigned place may submit a written objection by 20 March. The objection must contain the name, registration-card number, assigned place, and reason for the objection. Submitting an objection will not automatically suspend the plan. The objector will receive a written response within seven working days after the objection is received. If the objector does not accept the response, the objector may request review by the council secretary within seven days after receiving it. This notice is only a language-learning example; it is neither an operative notice nor legal advice.
The translation preserves the general audience masu rumfunan Kasuwar Laraba as “Wednesday Market stallholders.” The following Hausa and English sentence separately restricts eligibility to a stallholder with a valid registration card, making the condition easier to audit.
Authority, audience, action, and purpose
Ƙaramar Hukumar Filin Rimi, wadda aka ƙirƙira don wannan misali, tana sanar da masu rumfunan Kasuwar Laraba cewa za a mayar da kasuwar zuwa Filin Arewa.
Filin Rimi Local Authority, which was invented for this example, informs Wednesday Market stallholders that the market will be moved to North Field.
The relative clause wadda aka ƙirƙira don wannan misali modifies feminine ƙaramar hukuma and prevents confusion with a real authority. Feminine continuative tana sanar da agrees with that authority and identifies the addressees before introducing the content with cewa. Impersonal future za a mayar foregrounds the administrative action.
Daga 1 ga Afrilu zuwa 30 ga Yuni, 2099, domin a gyara magudanan ruwa.
From 1 April until 30 June 2099, in order that the drains be repaired.
The paired dates define both beginning and end. Purpose domin a gyara takes impersonal subjunctive a, because repair is the goal of the move, not a completed fact. A live notice would also need verified year, location, and accessibility arrangements.
Eligibility and an exact deadline
Duk mai rumfa da ke da katin rajista mai aiki zai iya neman wuri na ɗan lokaci.
Any stallholder who has a valid registration card may request a temporary place.
Duk mai rumfa covers each person meeting the relative condition da ke da.... Masculine future/modal zai iya agrees with generic mai rumfa. The notice grants an opportunity to request; it does not promise that every requested position will be assigned.
Dole ne ya kai kwafin katinsa ofishin kasuwa kafin ƙarfe huɗu na yamma ranar 14 ga Maris, 2099.
The stallholder must deliver a copy of the card to the market office before 4:00 p.m. on 14 March 2099.
Dole ne expresses obligation, followed by masculine subjunctive ya kai. Possessive katinsa resumes the generic stallholder. Both time and date modify the deadline; kafin excludes delivery at or after four. Naming the receiving office prevents “submit” from floating without a destination.
Objection content and non-suspension
Wanda yake da ƙorafi kan wurin da aka ba shi zai iya miƙa rubutaccen ƙorafi kafin ranar 20 ga Maris.
Anyone objecting to the place assigned to them may submit a written objection by 20 March.
Free relative wanda yake da ƙorafi defines who may act. In wurin da aka ba shi, impersonal relative completive aka packages assignment and recipient shi resumes that person. The second masculine zai heads the main predicate.
Dole ne takardar ƙorafin ta ƙunshi suna, lambar katin rajista, wurin da aka bayar, da dalilin ƙorafin.
The objection must contain the name, registration-card number, assigned place, and reason for the objection.
Dole ne + ta ƙunshi expresses obligation, with feminine ta agreeing with takarda. The four-item list is exhaustive within this fictional example. The relative da aka bayar modifies wuri, while linked phrases specify which number and reason.
Miƙa ƙorafi ba zai dakatar da shirin kai tsaye ba.
Submitting an objection will not automatically suspend the plan.
The verbal noun phrase miƙa ƙorafi serves as masculine subject of negative future ba zai ... ba. Kai tsaye scopes over automatic effect. This sentence is essential: without it, readers might infer a procedural consequence that the fictional rule does not grant.
Response and review chain
Za a ba mai ƙorafi amsa a rubuce cikin kwanakin aiki bakwai bayan an karɓi ƙorafin.
The objector will receive a written response within seven working days after the objection is received.
Impersonal future za a ba foregrounds the guaranteed procedural response; mai ƙorafi is recipient. A rubuce specifies form, and cikin kwanakin aiki bakwai bayan an karɓi ƙorafin gives both the outer period and its receipt anchor. A real rule would still need to define how working days are counted.
Idan bai amince da amsar ba, zai iya neman sake dubawa daga sakataren majalisa cikin kwanaki bakwai bayan ya karɓe ta.
If the objector does not accept the response, the objector may request review by the council secretary within seven days after receiving it.
The unexpressed subject of bai amince ba is recoverable from mai ƙorafi. Main zai iya continues that referent. In the temporal clause, ya karɓe ta uses feminine object ta for amsa. English repeats the objector more readily; Hausa discourse continuity licenses these pronouns.
Wannan sanarwa misali ce ta koyon harshe kawai; ba sanarwa ce mai aiki ko shawarar lauya ba.
This notice is only a language-learning example; it is neither an operative notice nor legal advice.
Feminine ce agrees with sanarwa in both affirmative and negative identificational clauses. Kawai limits purpose, while ba ... ko ... ba excludes both legal statuses.
Reusable administrative patterns
Duk mai katin rajista mai aiki zai iya neman wuri.
Anyone with a valid registration card may request a place.
Dole ne a miƙa takardar kafin ƙarfe huɗu na yamma.
The document must be submitted before four in the afternoon.
Za a bayar da amsa a rubuce cikin kwanakin aiki bakwai.
A written response will be provided within seven working days.
These templates do not create legal rights by themselves. A real drafter must verify the competent authority, governing rule, dates, definitions, service method, and review mechanism.
Common Mistakes
1. Treating the fictional notice as operative
❌ Kasuwar Laraba za ta koma Filin Arewa a 2099 bisa wannan sanarwar gwamnati.
False attribution—the institution and notice are fictional teaching material.
✅ A cikin misalin, an ce za a mayar da kasuwar zuwa wani fili na wucin gadi.
In the example, the market is said to be moving to a temporary site.
2. Giving a deadline without hour or destination
❌ A kawo takarda ranar 14 ga Maris.
Incomplete for this procedure—the cut-off time and receiving office are missing.
✅ A kai takardar ofishin kasuwa kafin ƙarfe huɗu na yamma ranar 14 ga Maris.
Deliver the document to the market office before 4:00 p.m. on 14 March.
3. Turning submission into automatic suspension
❌ Da zarar an miƙa ƙorafi, shirin ya tsaya.
Incorrect under the fictional text; submission does not automatically suspend the plan.
✅ A wannan misalin, miƙa ƙorafi kaɗai ba zai dakatar da shirin ba.
In this example, submitting an objection by itself will not suspend the plan.
4. Calquing an opaque noun pile
❌ Buƙatar sake dubawa ƙorafi amsa aiwatarwa lokaci.
Unnatural and clause-less administrative translationese.
✅ Idan bai amince da amsar ba, zai iya neman a sake duba ƙorafin.
If the objector does not accept the response, the objector may request that the objection be reviewed.
Key Takeaways
- The notice is explicitly fictional and provides no legal advice.
- Relative clauses define eligible stallholders and connect assigned places to recipients.
- Dates, clock time, destination, and required contents make the procedure operationally clear inside the example.
- Impersonal za a foregrounds institutional action; personal pronouns maintain the objector’s review chain.
- Submission, response, and review are separate steps with separately stated effects.
