(Today we are having pizza.) Absolute No-gos are: There is a boy in the street. There is my car.

one / a man / woman/ a person	man And this is our fourth singular 3rd person pronoun. I told there would be one more... er - he sie - she es - it man - people in general/ a person / a man / a woman / one/ everybody... In French there is 'on'. However German does not use this pronoun as much as the French speakers do. Actually be careful with it. Don't replace 'ich' with man. It sounds very bad, like not wanting to take responsibility... 'Man' is used for general rules: You have to it this way. You can't do that. One cannot smoke here. ... Let me warn French speakers again: A sentence like: On va à la piscine. cannot be translated as: Man geht ins Schwimmbad. The French sentence means: We go to the swimming pool. The German would mean: Everyone goes to the swimming pool/ Normal people go to the swimming pool and if you don't go to the swimming pool you are breaking an unwritten law of society.
